Rapid Cooling Transformation with a Custom QuikCool Vacuum Cooler

Client Overview

Fresh To Go is a long‑established food production company based in Auckland, New Zealand. With more than 25 years of experience, the business specialises in preparing high‑quality pre‑packaged salads for supermarkets, foodservice, and retail customers.

The Challenge

Fresh To Go wanted to improve the cooling process of product that they used in their salad range such as Potato, pasta and rice. They were currently using a 2 step process that took hours not minutes to cool the product.

Once cooked, these ingredients needed to reach required temperatures before they could be added to the salad mixes. The current cooling was a slow process and to improve productivity and quality Fresh To Go wanted to speed up the process.

The QuikCool Solution

In July 2025, QuikCool worked closely with the Fresh To Go team to design and install a custom‑built vacuum cooler. The goal was to integrate the system seamlessly into the existing kitchen layout while avoiding costly modifications to the facility.

The bespoke unit was engineered to:
